Clear Eyes

After October, I saw Holly less frequently. I’d gotten her number at one point, and for a few days we’d been texting about a silly challenge that had been ongoing at my work, but eventually she stopped replying; I took this as a bad sign.

In the first two weeks of November, two major events happened in my life; my brand new car was finally delivered after about six months of waiting, and I got SMILE eye surgery (like Lasik). Soon after the Lasik, Nour, Eliza, Janelle, Holly and I ended up at dinner again. This wasn’t a particularly memorable dinner for me at the time, but later on, I learned that this was the first time that Holly saw me as a romantic prospect - without my glasses, she took a closer look at my face.
