Tesselation #16: "Snowfall over the Cathedral"
This one is a lasting favorite. It was inspired by the view from my front window during a very windy snowstorm. The snow allowed me to see the roller-coaster twists of the wind in the eddies caused by the large catholic church across the street, and I found that very beautiful. The constraints of such a limited color palette led to significant additional creativity. I think I really captured the soul of the wind here and that feels great. The single yellow element comes from a streetlight that was illuminating the snow and allowing me to see the movement of the snowflakes.
This was also the first one to receive a name.
the artwork on the wall. Sometimes I feel like these work better from a distance.
