Tesselation #8: lasting beauty
This was the point where I began to have real success, and decided to continue this project more seriously long-term. For many iterations after, this remained my favorite piece. Though the technique appears still somewhat sloppy compared to later efforts, this piece contains a nice balance between chaos and order, and the way it gets lighter on the right side is very appealing.
My notes indicate that around this time, I learned to heal mistakes reasonably well. As a result I could take many tries to complete a line to my satisfaction; previously I was basically stuck with my first attempt.
